EldenRO is not a traditional Ragnarok server.
Progression is slower, more deliberate, and built around mastery.
⚔ Step 1 — Create Your Character
Choose any starting class — it won’t define your entire journey.
Focus on:
- Staying alive
- Learning the systems
- Avoiding unnecessary risks
Your early decisions matter less than your understanding of the game.
🔥 Step 2 — Find Your First Bonfire
Bonfires are the core of progression in EldenRO.
- Level up here
- Recover safely
- Anchor your progress
This is NOT classic Ragnarok leveling.
Killing monsters alone won’t carry you.
⚙ Core Mechanics
EldenRO changes fundamental Ragnarok systems.
Understanding these early will save you from frustration.
🤝 Summoning (No Traditional Party)
There is no classic party system.
- You must use a Soapstone
- Players leave summon signs
- You interact to summon them into your world
Cooperation is intentional and limited — not permanent.
💀 Death & Zeny Loss
When you die:
- You drop all your Zeny
- A marker appears where you fell
To recover it:
- Return to that location
- Interact with your lost Zeny

If you die again before recovering it, your previous Zeny is lost forever.
⚔ Invasions
Other players can invade your world.
- You cannot damage monsters during an invasion
- Your focus must shift to survival or combat
Invasions will interrupt your progression — be prepared.
💰 Economy
Zeny works differently in EldenRO.
- Items sold to NPCs have no value
- Zeny is primarily obtained by:
- Defeating monsters
- Finding consumable items across the world
Do not rely on selling loot — it will not fund your progression.
Explore the world carefully — hidden consumables can provide valuable Zeny.
🧭 Step 3 — Stabilize Yourself
Before thinking about power:
- Get a basic weapon
- Equip simple armor
- Stock a few consumables
Survival > Damage in early game.
🧪 Step 4 — Learn Combat
Combat is slower and more punishing.
- Don’t spam skills
- Watch enemy patterns
- Pick your fights carefully
If you rush fights, you will die.
💎 Step 5 — Avoid Refinement (For Now)
Refinement is powerful — but not early on.
- Save your materials
- Wait for stable gear
Wasting resources early can slow your progression a lot.

Exploration is rewarding, but dangerous.
- Not all zones are beginner-friendly
- Retreat is part of survival
If something feels too hard, it probably is.
